CBS UK

imageCommunity Bible Study UK is a non-denominational independent Christian ministry dedicated to providing accessible, in-depth Bible study in a supportive group setting, which is open to everyone, men and women of all ages. It provides a simple four-step approach to studying God's word.

  • Individual Study
  • Discussion
  • Teaching
  • Commentary

The aim of CBS study is for members to be confident in reading and understanding the Word of God and through sharing their discoveries become excited about scripture. With understanding comes application to daily life and real change. God's Word understood has the power to transform lives.

This CBS class meets on Monday mornings at the church between 09:45 and 11:30 during term time. We can provide a creche on request for those wanting to attend with children who are not at school. For the academic year 2018 to 2019 we are studying the book of Acts. If you want to find out more about the class then please or to find our more about CBS UK take a look at their website.

And Finally:

Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups

We are also running, on a rolling basis, Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups.

Many of us have been struggling with all the changes in our lives these past months and are faced with more uncertainty of what the coming months will bring.

As we struggle through various aspects of our lives many of us have at times felt broken. 'Kintsugi' is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold. The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars it makes a feature of them.

Over 12 weeks, Kintsugi Hope Groups explore various topics and how to maintain positive mental and emotional wellbeing in the midst of our busy lives and in this changing world. Each group will have a facilitator, a helper and there are various materials used to help us explore each subject. It is not a therapy group but a group where we can support and encourage each other - we are all in this together and no one has all the answers.
