Who are we?

Slough Baptist Church is a large group of people who meet near the town centre of Slough, Berkshire. As a town centre congregation, people come from a very wide area. You may find yourself talking to those who live as far apart as Langley, Windsor, Stoke Poges and Datchet.

The fellowship was founded in 1894, and has continued throughout the years to mould its ministry to the changing needs of our community.

Life can be like following a road with no signposts, it is easy to get lost. However, we believe that God has provided all the guidelines we need for life in the Bible. In Church, we worship God and learn from the Bible how to apply God's guidelines in the modern world, and we find that faith grows as we believe and obey Him. The central events in the Bible are the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, who has made it possible for us to receive forgiveness and to make a new start in life and in our relationship with God. We like to share our faith with other people, and especially what the love of Jesus means to us.

If you do not regularly attend any other church, you would be very welcome to join us!

Our building has ramp access for wheelchair users, and operates a hearing aid loop system during services.

On this site you can find out about our Sunday services, our regular activities, and ways to contact us.

Parking

Opposite the church there is a service road, used during the week by various companies. On a Sunday you can park in this road. If you are visiting the church at other times, please observe the parking restrictions. Do NOT park in the lay-by next to the church, as traffic wardens patrol this area regularly, even on a Sunday. The nearest public car parks are in Herschel St (opposite the church).
