Church awayday Saturday 28th September 2019

The theme of the day will be about witness, recognising the challenges we face today and continuing to encourage and equip us to witness about what we’ve seen and heard of Jesus. The sessions will be interactive with instruction from Martin Durham, opportunities to discuss together, and to work out the implications of what we exploring for us today.

Alongside this we will have lots of time to worship together, pray and enjoy being with one another. There will be some extended times over lunch to eat together and enjoy a few different activities as well. Refreshments, a hog roast lunch (vegetarian option available) are all being provided.

The day will be held at Langley Grammar School, where there is plenty of parking. We will start promptly at 10:30am with coffee available from 10:00am.  The day will finish by 5.00pm.

Please do let us know when booking if you will miss any part of the day, especially the lunch time. We are not charging a fixed fee for this event but are asking people to make donations. We estimate that the day will cost around £20 per person, but would like to encourage you to donate as you are able. You can book and donate online below. Alternatively, away day envelopes for your donations are available in the Foyer, with the paper registration forms.

If you have any questions or need to discuss any special requirements please contact Linda Fricker in the church office on 01753 523058 or

After spending 15 years employed by Barclays Bank PLC,  Rev. Martin Durham received a clear call to leave banking and pursue the office of evangelist, becoming the founding director of Kerygma180 (K180) in May 2001.

Complimenting his call to actively proclaim the gospel ‘on the streets’ and to equip young evangelists and leaders for gospel ministry, Martin presently chairs the UK 'Emerging Evangelists Institute' (an initiative of the Billy Graham     Evangelistic Association), and is the European Director of the 'International Leadership Institute', of which History Makers training for 18-30s is a key strategy.

Martin is ordained as a Baptist Minister (Evangelist) by the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and lives in London with his wife Rachel, and daughters, Annie & Eliza.
