Jem Sewell - Senior Pastor

Jeremy (Jem) Sewell is our Senior Pastor. Jem has been with us since 1992, was ordained here in November of that year, and was appointed as Senior Pastor in 1998. Jem is married to Hilary (Hil) and they have four children.

Andy Perryman - Associate Pastor

Andy is our Associate Pastor with special responsibility for Youth, Children's Work and Families. He is married to Kate, and lives quite close to the church.

Matthew Scott - Minister-in-Training

Matthew has been called by the fellowship to be our Minister-in-Training from Sept 2007, following 26 years' service with Surrey Police, initially as a Police Officer and more recently as a member of the force's support staff. Matthew and his wife Pauline were formerly members at nearby Sunningdale Baptist Church, and they have two grown-up children, Rachel & David.
During training, Matthew spends half his time studying at Spurgeon's College, London, and the other half serving in the church.

Carol Rhodes - Church Support Manager

Carol is married to Alan. She worked as our Office Administrator from September 1999 until September 2006 when she went back to college for a year to fulfil her long held desire to study calligraphy. She continues with those studies on an informal basis, and returned to SBC in August 2007 in the new role of Church Support Manager.

Graham Bryant - Caretaker

Graham was appointed caretaker here in October 2007. He worships at nearby St Paul's together with his family. Graham is married to Lesley and they have 3 daughters; Michelle, Nicola and Sara. He is a very keen supporter of Reading Football Club and claims to have the largest collection of Reading Football autographs in the world!
